I tried to eat it all/as much as I could, and I stopped at 85% and my character was like "nope" and got all burpy and apparently almost threw up, according to my health tab. Yep! I picked up one of those 4-squares of inventory-sized mushrooms with 10 servings. You can no longer front-load calories or water - you need to eat and drink in proper proportions when your character is hungry/thirsty or you will suffer consequences! Remember that character development is now working and essential - you will not always be a weakling, but you must survive long enough to become a chad. That's all for now - I hope this helps ease a little bit of your pain. Once you are ready you can start to hunt for larger quantities of fresh meat, but make sure you have a place to store it. There are corn fields all over the map, grape vines on the southern coasts, and numerous other sources of fresh food that you should be taking advantage of. Take advantage of farms - one that immediately comes to mind has cabbage, potatoes, cucumbers, and onions all in one place, and enough to fill a hiking pack. Get back to eating grubs and crickets, and don't forget birds! Birds are a great source of protein and are relatively easy to find if you know where to look. We can no longer rely on water coolers in offices and wells to have water in them, so you need to start planning ahead and keeping your water sources in mind. There are fresh water rivers all over the map, and searching for rocks in snowy biomes will give you snowballs you can eat. You can't rely on kitchens and garbage piles to be sufficient sources of food - most of it will make you sick. Learn how to cook meat and start planning ahead for making meals that will net you big, long-lasting health benefits. There are many other craftable items like this which will make your life easier if you learn when and how to use them. It is easily craftable and you can make it using the skin from a puppet. The improvised water container can carry 1.5 liters of water and is quite durable. Take care of the tasks that get you healthy and ready for tasks that will exhaust your body. Watch the weight of the clothing and gear you are wearing - it adds up quickly and might be worth dropping even if it means losing a few squares of loot space. When starting out you need to think short-term to complete tasks that will set you up for more complicated and exhaustive tasks that will net you those long-term gains, and that might mean dropping that pistol you don't have any ammo for, or chucking that helmet you don't need right now. Gone are the days of grabbing every item you come across on the chance that you might need it some time in the future. This will take time! It will also take focus on eating properly in order to gain muscle while also doing tasks that increase strength such as carrying heavy packs or logs. Most of us are starting out as emaciated weaklings and our ability to perform difficult tasks that require a lot of strength, like hiking hills and mountains with a pack full of gear, is limited! This will change as you make your character stronger and increase your abilities. Try to keep your water reserves between 50% and 100% and you will magically have more water for the future and will be peeing less. Are you peeing constantly? That is because you are drinking more water than you're capable of storing in your body and you're peeing out the rest (see: wasting water). The more effort you exert to move around the map, the more energy and water you need to support it. Here's a quick list of tips I think would help a lot of you that helped me survive my first 0.6 play session of 6 hours without dying. The changes that have come with 0.6 are extensive, but the biggest and most comprehensive change is that now you are fully held accountable for every single action you take in the game, even standing still. Remember that SCUM is a survival game with elements of PVP, not the other way around. I'm seeing a lot of frustration from the community and calls for the game to be hot-fixed, and I'm here to tell you why your frustration is warranted, but is aimed in the wrong direction.
